Decoded is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not sell your data, we do not require user accounts, and we do not maintain user profiles.
Information We Process
Decoded allows users to paste text or upload screenshots of conversations to analyze tone and generate suggested replies.
When you use the analysis feature:
- The text or screenshot you provide is securely transmitted to an AI processing service (Google Gemini) to generate a response.
- The data is used only to provide the requested analysis and reply suggestions (app functionality).
- Decoded does not store, log, or retain the content of your messages or screenshots on our servers.
Because the analysis requires AI processing, the information you submit is temporarily transmitted to Google's Gemini API and processed according to Google's privacy practices.
Third-Party Services
Decoded uses the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Google Gemini API – Provides the AI analysis used by the app. Text or images submitted for analysis are processed by Google's systems. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Apple StoreKit – Handles all subscription purchases. Apple manages billing and payment information. The developer of Decoded never receives or stores your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Usage
The information submitted for analysis is used solely for app functionality (generating tone analysis and suggested replies).
Decoded does not use submitted text or screenshots for advertising, tracking, or user profiling.
Subscriptions
Decoded offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly and annual) that unlock unlimited analysis.
All subscription purchases and billing are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not have access to your payment information.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Children's Privacy
Decoded is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has used the app in a way that raises privacy concerns, please contact us and we will investigate the request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When changes are made, the updated policy will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date.
